RocklandNY.tv was launched in January of 2009. SocialChord, along with a group of dedicated local partners, has been working to develop the Rockland pilot since June of 2008. Through our experiences on the ground, we have learned that building a vibrant online community that mirrors the complexity of the live, local experience has very little to do with technology. The online utility plays a supporting role in the interpersonal process of education and sustainable content creation. It is this key lesson that defines the SocialChord business model and value proposition.

TreasureValley.tv is a new pilot that is in limited release in southwest Idaho. This is SocialChord community #2. We are working with leaders in the community to 1) collaborateively design the network and its phased growth in the region 2) create a locally-owned L3C operating company for non-technical operation of TreasureValley.tv.
